HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. – Four-year Hammer amateur staffer Rob Gotchall won the $20,000 top prize at the Mini-Eliminator Summer Classic this weekend at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas. Gotchall used his Hammer arsenal to dominate the challenging conditions and come out on top.

“Rob read the lanes perfectly during this tournament. By switching from the Black Widow Pearl to the Emerald Vibe to the Black Widow Bite to the Cherry Vibe at just the right moments, he demonstrated why he is a perfect fit for our brand,” said Jeff Ussery, Hammer brand manager. “His win just adds to the already great summer that Hammer is having. Doug Kent was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in PBA History, Shawn Lee bowled a 300 at USBC Nationals, and now Rob wins the Mini-Eliminator Summer Classic. It’s true – Nothing Hits Like a Hammer!”

Gotchall, a member of the 35 and under division, rolled a clean 234 to defeat Mike Rose of Rochester, who bowled a 206. Gotchall started the game with three strikes in a row and never gave up his lead.

The 30-year-old Lincoln, Neb. native has been bowling for 20 years, and has been on staff with Hammer for the last four years. Throughout his career, Gotchall has bowled 41 300 games and 16 800 series.
