Ingellimar Beasley's Perseverance Pays Off at PBA Shark Championship

By Chris Hester

After missing the cut in each of the first three days of the 2016 PBA World Series of Bowling, Ingellimar Beasley did not let her focus or confidence waver heading into the Shark Championship qualifying round.

Starting the day off with her Ebonite Mission Unknown, Beasley rolled games of 214, 201, 258 and 226 before struggling with transition a bit game five and shooting 181.

Never one to get down on herself, she switched to a 1000 grit Track Cyborg pearl and bounced back with games of 217, 213 and 225 to sneak into the top 24 by six pins.

By qualifying in 21st position, Beasley became just the second female to make the match play round of any animal pattern at this year’s WSOB.

Mitch Beasley, her husband, told us she just continued to work hard each day, never losing focus and remaining determined to do well.

“Unfortunately she did not have a lot of time to prepare before the event this year," he said.  “Her game just got a little sharper as each day passed this week.”

Mitch Beasley, also a Track staff member, was one of the few bowlers that qualified for all four animal match play rounds.

Be sure to tune into XtraFrame or follow updates on next week as Beasley takes the lanes again for the PBA Shark Championship match play round on Wednesday December 7th at 4:30pm PST.
