Black Widow 3.0


We did it again!

Improving an already incredible line isn’t easy, but we managed to do it again with the new Black Widow 3.0. Each Widow release in recent years has been more popular than the previous and has taken ball reaction to new levels, and the Black Widow 3.0 will not be an exception. The Black Widow 3.0 is an incredible complement to the Widow 2.0 Hybrid; it has surface and tractions more in oil, making it a great ball to pull out of your bag first. The new Black Widow 3.0 is a solid reactive, much like the Black Widow 2.0, but the cover has been upgraded with a solid version of HK22 and has the same out-of-the-box surface as the Black Widow 2.0. HK22 gives the new Black Widow an advantage on medium to oily lanes, and Hammer fans will be excited when they see that it’s the traditional black and orange Hammer colors.

    Black Widow 3.0vOhhhhhhhhhh!!!

    Black Widow 3.0 is the latest greatest release in the Black Widow line and does not disappoint! This piece is very predictable with a smooth but strong motion downlane and through the deck. She will easily be your first pick out of your bag for medium to heavier oil patterns. It made it’s debut on the Earl Anthony pattern this past weekend which was very challenging. On the fresh, I was able to roll it to my target revved up but not throw it at it which would be peril. The response and hitting power just proves why the Black Widow line is and always has been a cut above. The black and orange coloration is turning heads in every bowling center and pro shop.     Good JUST NOT FOR ME!

    I do like the aggressive thought of this particular ball as compared to same core of the same ball line up. I never really found the gas mask core to benefit my style of play at now 50 years of age. A rev rate of 425, speed of 16 mph, I simply can not seem to get the core to match the patterns at almost any length. This is the second hammer ball with this core and I feel it is the same results at every tournament. Slow response time and a lot of 10 pins. 244 is high game with 18 games on the ball. I realize it is a well like ball among the 195 average house players but it is not for me. I have tried to fill a slot in the arsenal with this ball however I think ill put it on the used ball rack and get me 50 towards something else.

    New beginning.

    After a decade layoff I decided to pick up bowling once again. My research lead me to the Black Widow 3.0 and I have not been disappointed.
    Despite the rust in my game I have slowly learned this ball and I'm enjoying it immensely. Watching this baby hook and power through the back end makes me wonder why I ever put my bowling game on the shelf for so many years. I'm back and I look forward to bowling now and into the future with my Black Widow balls.

    It’s a widow!

    I’ve been looking for a big solid ball for the top of my bag that don’t just hook early and die off. This widow 3.0 is just that. Hammer went back to its roots with the color scheme and the shelf appeal is on point with the legendary black and orange. These colors are visually pleasing rolling down the lane as well. The hk22 aggression solid coverstock really lets this ball dig in and slow down. It’s great to see a big ball dig in the oil and not bleed off on the back end making it easy to throw. The 3.0 fits in the widow lineup with ease making it a go to for heavier oil conditions when your 2.0 hybrid just won’t see the lane early enough.
