Prior to me starting to bowl, my dad bowled. I was one of the rugrats that everyone used to tell to stop running in the bowling center. Since the age of 13 when I joined a Saturday Morning Youth league, I’ve loved the sport. I’ve served in many different capacities: youth league secretary (back when you used pencil & paper and a calculator…lol), President of Greater Richmond Bowling Senate TNBA, different positions throughout TNBA, league President, tournament director and tournament worker. I was inducted in the Greater Richmond Bowling Senate of TNBA Hall of Fame in 2011. I shot my first 300 back in the early 90’s with a Yellow Dot Legend. Shot my 2nd with a Purple Urethane Hammer (that someone stolen right off the lanes), but back then everyone through Hammer. To be able to represent one of the All Time Greats of Bowling Ball Manufacturers is extremely humbling and nothing that I take for granted.
As I stated earlier, not only have I been a servant of the game, but I have also been a student and coach of the game. You never stop learning but I enjoy passing on the knowledge I have to others. While I don’t make a living from bowling, I do serve as a coach at Virginia State University. I’m entering into my 3rd year and absolutely love what I do. Helping others is truly a blessing and very rewarding. When I’m not bowling or coaching, I also help families serving as an Independent Agent of World Financial Group. I’m living my life to make a difference and be a blessing to others both on and off the lanes. Wish I could do more in the sport of bowling because I love everything about the sport and love representing: HAMMER NATION!!!!
