My parents bought a small 12 lane center (Wayne Lanes) in 1981 in Waynesboro, VA. I was 11 years old and this was really my first exposure to bowling. I immediately started bowling in the youth league and quickly found that I loved bowling! I was determined to be the best I could be and wanted to become a Professional Bowler. My parents eventually decided to retire and I took over managing the Bowler Center and started drilling bowling balls in 1992. Drilling balls was my true passion and I enjoyed this much more than the management of the center. I still own/manage the center and also have 3 pro shops in the area. Bowling is a huge part of my life and who I am. It is how I make my living and help support my family.
I have a wife, Sharon and 3 children. My daughter Maddy is 12, my son Colton is 9 and my son Riley is 2. Maddy and Colton both bowl in the youth league and Riley will soon I am sure! We are a Hammer family!
I love Hammer because my feeling is that Hammer represents me in many ways. Strong, consistent and a little rough around the edges with a real raw quality. I will be a Hammerhead for life!
